試験の様子

11:00集合、11:20移動、11:50本番開始。試験官は、国籍不明人男性(40代)、日本人女性(50代?)の2名。

質問内容

(以下、J:日本人試験官、N:ネイティブ試験官、A:受験者)

A: (ドアをノックして) Hello.

J: Good morning. Have a seat. What is your name?

A: My name is ...

N: Where do you live?

M: I live in Setagaya western part of Tokyo.

N: You born in Setagaya?

A: No. I was born in Suginami ward.

N: Where is Suginami?

A: Just next to Setagaya ward.

N: I see. So it is still in Tokyo. You mean that you know a lot about Kanto area.

A: I can’t say so. I think I know only in the vicinity of Shinjuku.

N: How about Kamakura?

A: Kamakura is located in Kanagawa Pref. And once we had Kamakura feudal government there. There is great image of Buddha statue. And you can find many historical remains there.

N: What do you recommend to see in Kamakura?

A: Tsurugaoka Hachimangu shrine. Once I attended wedding ceremony there. It was so nice. And if you go there in spring, you can enjoy beautiful cherry blossom. Of course, Great Image of Buddha is worth to see.

N: How can I go to Kamakura?

A: You can go there by Odakyu line from Shinjuku Station. It takes about one and half hours. From Fujisawa, you can take small local train. Sorry, I forget the name of the train. But the train takes you many tourist spots.

(江ノ電が思い浮かびませんでした。江ノ島のことを付け加えるべきだったとあとで思いました。)

N: O.K. What is the advantage of Japanese wooden house?

A: Advantages…since it is wood so it is airy. But it is cold in summer.

N: In modern Japan, houses are still built in wood?

A: No. Now many Japanese live in apartment complex. Most of them are made of concrete.

N: I see. Now I would like to ask you about politics. How Japanese Prime Minister was elected?

A: In Japan, the head of the governing party becomes Prime Minister. Now Mr. Aso is the head of Liberal Democratic Party.

N: Who elected him?

A: Member of the party.

N: Now simple question. How about the climate of Japan?

A: Japan has four seasons, spring, summer, autumn and winter. Spring and autumn, you can enjoy mild weather. Summer is very hot. I don’t recommend you to come to Japan, especially in Tokyo in summer. Winter is cold but you can enjoy sunny day. If you bring warm jacket you can enjoy Tokyo in winter.

(もう少し、日本全体のことを話したほうが良かったかもしれません。)

N: (日本人の試験官に何か他にという合図をしていました。)Thank you very much.

A: Thank you very much.
