A: Hello.

J: Hello. Have a seat. What is your name?

A: My name is ....

J: Where do you live?

A: I live in Suginami, Tokyo.

N: Where is your hometown?

A: My hometown is also Suginami. I was born and raised in this city.

N: I see. Well, there are American and Australian tourists. You are a tour guide.

What's an attractive point in Tokyo?

A: I recommend the Imperial Palace. There are beautiful gardens there. Unfortunately, you can't enter inside but you can see excellent buildings.

N: Where is it?

A: It is located at the very center of Tokyo, near Tokyo Station. If you are staying in a hotel near Tokyo station, you can go there by walk.

N: Could you tell me the history of the Imperial Palace?

A: The Imperial Palace was built around 15th or 16th century. At the beginning, it was not used for the Imperial family. At that time, shogun and samurai or Japanese warriors used.

N: Which period?

A: It is called as Edo period. It started at the beginning of 17th century.

N: Well, the tourists enjoyed the Imperial Palace. What's next to go? They are Americans and Australians. Where do you recommend?

A: I recommend shopping area in Ginza. It is close from here. We can walk but it's better to take subway. In Ginza area, there are many department stores and they have "Depachika", basement floor where many groceries are available. You can buy Japanese traditional food as souvenir.

N: What is Japanese traditional martial arts?

A:(質問内容とずれた回答の可能性あり)I think it is represented by Judo. Judo was developed by Japanese people and it respects the soul of Japanese people. Two athletes compete with each other by using holds and twists.

N: I'm an Irish. I know and like Sumo very much. But my wife doesn't know sumo at all. How do you explain to her about Sumo?

A: Sumo is a Japanese traditional sports. Two men compete with each other. They fight on a square base. There is a ring inside. Sumo wrestlers are nearly naked but they wear sash when fighting.

J: O.K. It's time. Thank you so much.

N: Thank you so much.

(外国人面接官に対して)Thank you so much
