10:00 集合、10:30移動、11：20本番開始。
試験官は、外国人男性（50代?）、日本人女性（50代？）の2名。
質問内容
（以下、J：日本人試験官、N：ネイティブ試験官、A：受験者）
日本人女性がどうぞと呼びに来たので、Good morningと言って入る。 荷物をどこにおくか迷っていると、２つ置いてある椅子の隣に置くようにいわれたのでそのまま座る。その時、もう一度Good morningを言うべきだったのに、そのまま座ってしまう。 試験官は落ち着いた雰囲気の明瞭な発音のネイティヴの男性（英国人？米国人？オーストラリア人？）、とベテランガイド風の終始笑顔で応対してくれた日本人女性。英語は正確ではないかもしれませんが、以下の内容でした。
N：What is your name?
A: My name is ...
N：I have a question. What is the famous place for rice planting in Japan?
A: In Niigata , north eastern part of Japan, good rice is grown. Niigata prefecture is on the Sea of Japan coast side.
B: Why is the rice of Niigata good?
A: Because summer is hot and after the summer it will become cool soon. It is good to grow rice. And also the water is good.
N: Is Niigata rice expensive?
A: There are several places to grow good rice. And It's not so different. But it's a little expensive.
N: Do you think tourism is important in Japan?
A: I think so. Japanese economy is in recession. So tourism will boost the Japanese economy. And, tourism will also encourage understanding between people among nations.
N: What is the Edo period?
A: Edo period started in 1603, and Tokugawa Ieyasu, first Shogun of Edo feudal government united the country and established the Edo feudal government and it
lasted more than 260 years. It was stable society, and Japan was isolated, but under the system, Japanese culture flourished , such as woodblock painting, kabuki and so on.
N: Why do many tourists visit Kyoto?
A: Because Kyoto was the ancient capital of Japan. So there are many historical spots, such as temples, traditional Japanese gardens and so on. So it will be interesting for foreign tourists.
N: If I go to Kyoto, where do you recommend to visit?
A: I recommend you to visit Kinkakuji. Kinkakuji was built around 15th(?) centuries, It is three stories structures and each structure has different architecture style and covered with gold, gold leaf. It's very beautiful. Then I recommend you to visit Ginkakuji, silver pavilion. Ginkakuji has simple and serene atmosphere and has beautiful gardens. It's very good. From Ginkakuji there is a Philosopher's way. It's very nice to walk.
N: How long does it take to walk?
A: 15 minutes.(自分の感覚で答えてしまった。実際はもっとかかる) And it goes to Nanzenji. Nanzenji was also the head temlple in the feudal age. And there are another… と言いいかけて
N：OK と止められる。（しゃべろうとしすぎ）
N: What is the Japanese fast food?
A: 勘違いして、well, hamburgerと言いかける
N: No, Japanese fast food.と言われ
A: Oh, sorry. soba noodle and udon noodle are Japanese fast food. there are many udon and soba noodle stores in front of the station and in the station. It is convenient, cheap and delicious. ここで男性からの質問が終わり、日本人の女性から質問を受ける
J：通訳ガイドにとって大切なことは何だと思いますか。
A：ホスピタリティ、サービス精神だと思います。その気持ちを大切に客さんに接したいと思います。それから、日本の文化への知識を持ってお客さんに提供することだと思います。それから、といいかけて。
J：けっこうです。ガイドになってどんなお仕事をしたいと思っていますか。
A：旅行のガイドにも興味がありますが、外国から研修に来るかたの案内をするような仕事もしたいと思っています。
J：今、どんなお仕事をしていますか。
A：昨年まで～をしていましたが、今春退職して今ガイド試験の勉強をしています。
J：それでは、すぐお仕事ができますね。
A：はい。
J：これで終わります。
A：どうも、ありがとうございました。
この時、あわてて男性試験官の方を見るのを忘れて立ちあがってしまったように思います。それで、部屋を出る時、Thank you と言ったのですが、届いたかどうか、また試験官がこちらを見ていたかもわからなかったです。
試験を終えて
質問は答えにくくなく、想定される内容でしたが、舞い上がってしまい、ガイドになった気持ちでホスピタリティの精神を発揮して、コミュニケーションをすることができなかったことや、挨拶もきちんとできていなかったように思い、大変悔やまれます。特に京都のところで、しゃべることをまとめないで話してしまい、とりとめがなくなってしまったこと、会話のキャッチボールの感じがつかめなかったのが悔やまれます。合格したいという熱意はあったつもりなのですが、もっと落ち着いて臨みたかったです。これまで、先生方にお世話になり感謝しています。
