(1) 試験会場到着から試験室入室までの手順
外に並んだ後、建物内に案内され、受付後、講堂で待機。12時半から試験の説明があり、その後10人程度のグループごとに別の建物に移動。そこの講堂で待機。再び10人程度のグル－プが呼ばれ、試験室の外の廊下で待機。5分ほどで呼ばれました。

試験官は日本人、外国人とも60代ぐらい。外国人の国籍は不明だが、聞き取りやすかったです。

I’d like to talk about forest bathing. Forest bathing is bathing in the forest. Japanese people like bathing, but this is not taking a bath. It means we relax in the forest, feeling wind and fresh air. It’s so comfortable to relax with sunshine surrounded with greenery. This is a good way to release your stress and relax. Now, many people have a lot of stress due to the COVID-19 pandemic. More and more people enjoy forest bathing. It’s a great opportunity to release our stress.
I went to Karuizawa in Nagano prefecture two years ago. I stayed at a hotel called ‘Hoshinoya’. In the back of the hotel, there is a big forest. I enjoyed forest bathing there. It was a good experience. I could relax a lot. If you have a chance to go to the forest in Japan, please enjoy forest bathing. Thank you for listening.

祇園祭は平安時代に、八坂神社を中心として（？）疫病を撃退するために始まりました。祇園祭は七月の1か月間続きますが、クライマックスは14日と24日の山鉾巡行です。山鉾は京都市の中心を回ります。この時期に国内外の多くの観光客が訪れます。

Gionmatsuri started in the Heian period to go away the epidemic. Gionmatsuri lasts for a month in July. Climax is the procession of festival floats. Festival floats parade in the city center of Kyoto city. Many tourists from Japan and abroad visit there in the season.

祇園祭の有料席を予約していましたが、台風で中止となりました。お客様は日本の伝統行事に興味があり、大変残念がっています。あなたならどう対応しますか。

（私）I’m sorry to say that, but the typhoon is coming and the festival was cancelled today. It often happens in this season. I have a picture of the festival. (I show the picture) There is a museum exhibiting the festival floats or other things related to the festival. We can experience carrying portable shrines and watch videos, too. What do you think of it?
（外国人試験官）I think they have wheels, so we can’t carry them.
（私）Oh, it’s a different thing. We can’t carry festival floats. We can pull them.
（外国人試験官）I see. Can I buy souvenirs?
（私）Yes, there are a lot of souvenirs in Kyoto.

退出してから、試験前とは別の、カフェテリアのような所に案内されて、同じ集合時間の人が全員終わるまで待機しました。14時20分ごろ解散となりました。
(14) 全体を通しての感想など
時間が思っていたより短いので、知っていることや言うべき大事な内容を時間内に盛り込めるかどうかが問題だと感じました。わたしの選んだ森林浴は、一度も練習したことも、見たこともないお題だったので、とにかく言えることを言うだけで精一杯でしたが、日本は山の多い国で森林がたくさんあるとか、いいハイキングコースについての説明 (高尾山とか鎌倉とか) を盛り込めるとよかったと思います。
先生方にはたくさんのことを教えていただき、ありがとうございました。シチュエーションでもう少し模擬試験の内容が生かせればよかったと思います。
