N: Please tell us your name.
A: My name is ________.
N: Where do you live?
A: I live in ______. It means "….(漢字の説明をしました)",
but it actually is a typical suburb city of Tokyo.
N: O.K. (笑いながら) Were you brought up in________?
A: No, I was born and brought up in ______. It is along the Sea of Japan area.
N: How long do you live in________?
A: I live in ______for 10 years, before that I lived in_______.
N: So, when did you come to Tokyo?
A: I came to Tokyo on my graduation from university to work.
N: How are you today?
A: I am fine.
N: In Japan, we don't have to tip at hotels or taxies. Why?
A: Because tip is already included in the fee as service fee.
N: I see.
A: But if you ask very special service, it would be better to tip.
N: Interesting.
N: How have Japanese workers changed in these 50 years?
A: In these 50 years, Japanese workers worked very hard to make Japan a modernized country to catch up with Western countries.
N: I am asking the change.
A: Ah..., recently more and more workers have leisure time... and Japanese companies also make their employees not to work so long.
N: Why can Japan westernize in such a short period of time?
A: Because Japanese are good at introducing western things and adopting them to suit Japanese taste, and also, Japanese work very hard.

試験を終えて
予想していたような質問ではなかったので、とにかく沈黙だけはしないように答えました。後になって、もっとああいえばよかったとか、たとえば~と言って例を述べるなど、丁寧にお答えするべきだったと思っています。やはり、暗記だけではどうしようもないと感じています。この7か月間、勉強を続けてきて、まだまだ浅い知識ではありますが、日本の文化・歴史・観光地について学ぶことができて、本当に楽しかったです。これからも、勉強を続けていきたいと思います。限られた時間で、決して十分な準備はできませんでしたが、CELのIntensive Classesで試験の雰囲気をつかむことができました。また、講師の皆様の豊富な知識と解説は、大変勉強になりました。
